2017 - Living on the Gulf of Mexico

We moved away from Reno and our lovely home on the Truckee River to live beside the Mississippi River in the Quad City area. Living beside water brings me great happiness. We moved away from the midwest in June of 2016 to live on the Gulf of Mexico in Marco Island, Florida. Our thoughts are with those in Reno tonight as the water level on the Truckee River continues to rise.

River of Dreams

Our time living along the Truckee River is coming to a close. We are moving to live beside the mighty Mississippi River in the Quad City area. I will hold close the memories of living in this very special place!

Muddy River

What's up with the river this morning? Is this from the mudslide that happened yesterday? Even after it rained very hard the other day it didn't become so muddy. More rain today?

I just read something that made me reflect ....

being a school principal is changing as quickly as the river the flows just outside my door.

ICE ICE Baby ... too cold .... too cold

 

Why doesn't the cold, icy water bother the ducks?    

      I love watching nature. Given the choice, I would observe it rather than being a couch potato any day!
